Whether we like it or not, fashion influences the way we name our children. Here is an example with this first name considered out of fashion not so long ago…
If trendy names influence our choices for naming our baby; Rarer first names also have an impact on our list of favorite first names. A trend that has not escaped the authors of the book L’Officiel des Prénoms (First Editions): “Original first names also manage to stand out, like Ilyes, Philéas, Éloïs or Sirius, by playing on unusual sounds. But hasn’t this phenomenon of distinction itself become “trendy”? It’s therefore difficult to escape fashion… Fortunately, it leaves room for creativity!“
