Arrested in Belgium this Thursday, the multi -rindivist robber Antonio Ferrara distinguished himself in organized crime by a very particular technique in the context of attacks of armored vans with explosive.
The multi -rindivist robber Antonio Ferrara was arrested this Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Belgium by French OCLCO police (the Central Office to Combat Organized Crime of the Judicial Police) and in particular the BR national, and Belgian police, according to information from RTL. Seven other people whose brother were also arrested. An intervention during which the latter did not allow themselves to be done, “exchanges of fire took place” specifies the media.
All suspects were arrested in their hideout in Eupen, in the province of Liège. The former “king of the beautiful” was the subject of an investigation carried out by the Jirs of Paris (specialized inter-regional jurisdiction of Paris), as confirmed by the Paris prosecutor’s office. The eight men (five French people and three Belgians) were all the more sought after “after a failed attempt to attack armed with a strong center in Germany, where banks store their liquidity,” abounds RTL.
The so -called “parable” technique
Back to organized crime since the mid -1990s, condemned for an attempted murder in 1996 and several robberies, Antonio Ferrara also built his legend thanks to very specific skills. The native of Cassino, southeast of Rome, has produced several attacks of armored vans with explosive. For this, he had developed a very special technique.
Arrived in the Paris region at the age of 10, this Italian immigrant son would have become an expert in the so -called “parable” technique, which consists in opening a breach in armored vans, thanks to a frame supporting the explosive. In the community, the one who is also nicknamed “Nino” would have the reputation of being a talented artificer.
The “parable” technique, also seen as that of the “explosive framework” therefore allowed to unravel the shielding of vehicles carrying liquid money, but without risking to explode them. A revolutionary method which participated in building the complex image of the “king of the beautiful”, a criminal with a sometimes thoughtful profile.
In reality, the inventor of this process would be a Marseilles thug and would have trained “nino” to this practice. Subsequently, Antonio Ferrara would have been practiced in car breaches to perfect his technique, before using it several times. As a reminder, before the arrest of this Thursday in Belgium, the now 51-year-old man had been released from Réau (Seine-et-Marne) in July 2022 after 19 years of detention.
