This easy trick removes limescale and makes your sink shine

You can remove limescale from the sink very easily and make it shiny using this natural method.

The sink is the central element of the kitchen. Dishes to clean, food to rinse, utensils to disinfect… All colors come and go, but a clean area must nevertheless remain in order to be able to cook more fluidly and hygienically. Over time, dust, grease, debris and limescale can build up on your sink, making the once smooth and shiny surface dull, rough and dirty-looking. Beyond the unsightly appearance of the white spots that limescale leaves on your sink and faucet, it can clog water jets and damage surfaces.

Removing limescale from the faucet and making the sink shine may seem like a daunting task, but with the right techniques and products, you can restore the beauty and shine of your metal surfaces and sink without having to resort to harsh chemicals and without too much scrubbing. To do this, you will simply need a few basic natural ingredients that you probably already have in your cupboards: white vinegar, salt, lemon and baking soda.

Pour white vinegar into a shallow bowl and dip a cloth in the vinegar. Wrap the cloth around the faucet, making sure to completely cover the areas affected by limescale. Leave it on for about an hour, then rinse with plenty of clean water. If the limescale is particularly stubborn, you can use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the affected areas.

While the vinegar is working on the limescale in the faucet, make a paste with salt, lemon juice and a little baking soda to scrub the sink. Dip half a lemon into the paste and rub it directly on the sink. Leave it on for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. The lemon will also leave a pleasant smell of freshness.

To give your sink an extra shine, you can use olive oil from time to time. Pour a little olive oil onto a clean cloth and rub it over the entire surface of the sink. Olive oil will help remove fingerprints and make the sink shine, while leaving a light protective film that will help repel stains and limescale buildup in the future.
