Only three hours from Paris, this region notably offers an idyllic beach still little known to French tourists.
Only three hours of flight from Paris, still in the shadow of the most famous European tourist destinations, there is a pearl of the unknown Adriatic of French travelers. They are not the first to hurry there, far from it. However, this region of Europe has everything to please, a few kilometers of tourist cities much better known such as the Adriatic Italian coast and the Dalmate coast with its famous and (too) attended Dubrovnik.
This bay and its rosary of islands has the appearance of a postcard. It still offers very accessible prices compared to the rest of the Mediterranean. A few kilometers from Hvar, the Pakleni Islands archipelago, with Palmizana feathered, is a destination still confidential. But be careful, in July as in August, they already welcome many small boats while the crowd is little present the rest of the year. Visiting it in spring can be a great idea.

Sveti Klement, the largest island in this archipelago, houses Palmizana, famous for its sandy beach, a rare treasure on a predominantly rocky coast where the beaches are more in pebbles, small stones or large rocks. This beach is therefore distinguished not only by its fine sand but also by its setting. The beach is framed by a forest, mainly composed of very present pines on this coast but which offer a rare shadow on this rocky archipelago. Their shadow is more than welcome during hot summer days, because, as a reminder, mercury can go up very high in Croatia! Crystalline water, yachts moored nearby in her small marina and views of the other islets of the Pakleni archipelago complete the idyllic painting.
Make no mistake, Palmizana is much more than a simple beach. The Meneghello family, living on the island for more than a century, has notably created a real little open -air botanical garden. She created a unique ecosystem there with tropical plants. Visitors can explore the island on foot, discover hidden coves a few steps from the main beach. Palmizana also includes some restaurants by the sea where you can taste local specialties. Fresh fish is always on the menu!
Palmižana’s accessibility is also a strong point. With regular shuttles from the lively city of Hvar, located nearby, visitors can easily combine the exploration of this quiet island with the animations of one of the most dynamic cities in Croatia.
