In July, the time has come: RTL is launching a new quiz show. 40 celebrities compete in 8 teams and have to prove how smart they are. There is a catch, however: anyone who answers incorrectly will be thrown into the water in a giant ball. RTL has now announced the show’s presenter. RTL has let the cat out of the bag: The presenter of the new format Splash! – The Celebrity Pool Quiz is none other than Sophia Thomalla.
The 34-year-old is big in the business. Since 2021, she has hosted the dating format Are You The One?, before that she acted in TV projects such as Der Bergdoktor. The daughter of Tatort actress Simone Thomalla (59) is an absolute all-round talent. On Instagram, she presents herself to her 1.4 million fans as “Presenter, actress, advertising face” and “Berlin investor”.

The fact that RTL continues to work with the blonde beauty may surprise some critics. Thomalla is known for her sharp tongue and causes controversy on social media with polarizing statementsMost recently, she was criticized when she publicly confessed her love for her ex-partner, Rammstein singer Till Lindemann (61).
The accusations against the scandal rocker were serious: Several female fans reported that they were allegedly drugged and pressured into sexual acts at after-show parties. Thomalla took aim at one of these women on social media and defended her ex to Bild as “Man who protects women.”
