“This community lied to me” Players think that the Uber bosses are too easy, which is probably not true

Uber bosses in Diablo 4 are considered the highest test for all players who want to test their skills and build. Many only show how easy such a fight is for them. This apparently leads to a false image, says at least one fan, and receives encouragement.

These are the bosses we’re talking about:

This is the discussion: On Reddit, YouTube and Co., players repeatedly share their gameplay about how they can easily defeat the fierce bosses in a short time. A new OP build from Season 2 melts Lilith in about 10 seconds.

There are posts like this almost every day and with almost every class: necromancers, barbarians, druids and even the previously considered weak wizards plow through the Uber bosses, one might think. In Season 2, everyone is OP and fans love that.

It looks like a build like this either requires a lot of grind or a lot of practice. One user wrote on Reddit: “This community lied to me. Every thread about Uber Duriel is flooded with comments about how light it is. […] Is this all an elaborate, community-wide troll or is everyone here just lying to boost their egos?”

He tried to get to level 80 on Uber Duriel and burned all of the materials he had laboriously farmed. In the end it wasn’t enough: the poison damage was too high and he couldn’t hold out even with potions.

“I killed Uber Lilith and hate everything about it”

There are similar reports about Uber Lilith, which is still considered a kind of benchmark for builds. Here a user writes that he allegedly nibbled on the boss for 12 hours, over 1,000 attempts (via Reddit).

The main problem is the oneshot mechanics, i.e. skills that blow you right out of life. Not only are they far too common, they are also difficult to see. This definitely needs to be remedied.

The only way was to simply ignore all the mechanics, put on the most damaging equipment and blow Lilith out of life before she could do anything. Another user sees it similarly and says: this is poor design (via Reddit).

A number of users from the community agree. Most posts on Reddit and Co. are about builds that simply melt away bosses. Mechanics would be ignored. If you do want to play it, you need a lot of resistances and a good ping, otherwise you’ll get hit.

Others think that anyone who tries to take on an Uber Boss at level 80 has only themselves to blame. They are intended for characters at level 100 and ideally for a group. However, most agree that the majority of players simply recreate expert builds and knock over bosses. Everyone else would just have difficulties.

However, significantly more builds are playable with Season 2 than was the case before. In some cases, the classes have become so strong that players are even calling for nerfs:

Players are demanding nerfs in Diablo 4, supposedly giving builds that are far too strong – but Blizzard surprisingly refuses

Do you think the bosses are too easy? Or should there already be a few challenges in Diablo 4?
