This college student lands an internship at Louis Vuitton

At the end of the year, a 14-year-old schoolboy had a dream: to do his 3rd year observation internship at the prestigious luxury house Louis Vuitton. But without any contact, it’s difficult to be spotted. His mother therefore threw a bottle into the sea on social networks…

Could the magic of the end-of-year holidays have worked on the social network X, formerly Twitter? Several weeks ago, a mother posted a rather special tweet to help her son, Milan, who has just turned 14. This young college student was looking for a company to carry out his 3rd year observation internship, which was to take place from December 18 to 22, 2023. His dream: to join the luxury house that fascinates him, Louis Vuitton. Problem is, neither he nor his family had any contact in this environment. But that was without counting on his mother’s determination. Because after all, if you can’t enter through the front door, you can very well use another exit, and that’s precisely what @LouiseOdessa did by throwing a bottle into the sea at X.

In her tweet, published on November 7, the mother tried to challenge the prestigious brand. To do this, she gave a short description of her child and his strengths: “My son is just a little, a lot, passionate about your brand and leather. He is also very good at Photoshop on a graphics tablet for his creations and plans to do a professional baccalaureate and BTS in fashion professions. I don’t have never seen so amazed as the day he introduced me to your exhibition in front of the Samaritaine, he knew a lot about the partnerships and the history of Louis Vuitton. Could you allow him a little OBSERVATION course of a week or tell me how to proceed please? She also attached some sketches of shoes and outfits, handmade by Milan.

Neither one nor two, the publication quickly gained attention and has accumulated more than 210,000 views, including 796 shares. A visibility which bore fruit, because a few weeks later, the mother received THE long-awaited response, which she shared on X. “Hello, I am Johnny Coca’s assistant at Louis Vuitton [l’actuel directeur des accessoires féminins, ndlr]. He wants to meet you tomorrow. Milan is extremely talented, he is very comfortable in what he does, you are very lucky to have a child like him. Milan is passionate, he has a lot of talent and Johnny wants to discuss it with you.” You will surely have guessed it, the young Milan was able to make his dream come true by doing his internship at Louis Vuitton. A first experience which “changed [sa] life”he confided to BFMTV.
