The first information on the new upcoming iPhone models are starting to leak on the web. Your next iPhone may well be deprived of a characteristic element of the range…
I’iPhone as you know it should change soon. Although Apple has not yet officially communicated on its future iPhone 15, it is already possible to project yourself with the first leaks available on the net. Whether it’s protective shells or 3D renderings, the design of future iPhones is already beginning to reveal itself and suggests a more or less notable change for the next models.
A throwback for future iPhones
The release of the iPhone 13 in 2021 was notably marked by a major design change: the camera sensors were no longer aligned, but diagonal. This decision was due in particular to the presence of new components within the iPhone 13, starting with a main sensor inherited from the iPhone 12 Pro and surrounded by four magnets. These allowed the sensor to gain in image quality and especially in stabilization when capturing videos, but made it a real juggernaut that was difficult to fit into the device. The arrival of 12 Mpx wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle sensors does not help matters.
Apple should now initiate a real step backwards for its iPhone 15. According to several sources and leaked documents, future iPhones would once again have vertically aligned camera sensors. Will this signify a loss of camera quality for the next models to come? Let’s bet that Apple has above all found a new technique to offer good performance while refreshing the design of its devices.
The same rumors also announce that the iPhone of the future will benefit from a camera capturing more light and allowing a tenfold zoom, thanks to a new technology of superimposed lenses in accordion: the “periscope” model.
