Can a nice encounter make you stop smoking?
In this study, happn focuses on tobacco, which affects more than twelve million people every day in France. What if finding love could help you quit smoking for good? This is one of the questions that was asked to users of the app.
Among them, 43% admitted to smoking regularly, but 64% could definitely consider quitting for love. This is a reminder of how having a goal and a source of motivation can help you get through the process of quitting smoking.
Tobacco scares away potential partners
This survey also highlights another fact: smokers are less attractive than non-smokers. In fact, 27% of respondents explain that they do not want to start a relationship with a person who smokes for various reasons, such as the bad smells of cigarettes.
For 80% of those questioned, it causes bad breath and sticks to fingers and clothes. But for 38% of single people surveyed, cigarettes are a good way to socialize. A way to make friends, but not necessarily find love, because only 3% of respondents find smokers “sexy”.
