This autumn the deposit will be increased. But now is not the time to start saving old soda cans.
– It’s not like you can hoard and become very rich, says Katarina Lundell, marketing and communications manager at Returpack/Pantamera.
In September, some aluminum cans and pet bottles will give two kroner as a deposit instead of the current one kroner. Large pet bottles are simultaneously raised from two to three kroner. However, it is a big device to change the labeling of all soft drinks, mineral water and other drinks sold in the country’s shops. So for a period there will be duplicate marks. Some give a kroner as a deposit, others two. Mode to choose the right jar and earn a crown? Well.
– It is the pledge mark that will decide, says Katarina Lundell and continues:
– We have also been asked if this will mean that the price of soft drinks, for example, will be raised, but we are not the ones who set the prices.
Those who for some reason still have the old markings on their cans after September need not worry. The “old” label will be able to be used all the way to 2028.
– Of course, we have a vision that all drinks that are sold should be pledged, but now we are making this increase to primarily reach a 90 percent pledge rate. We are close, 88.5 at the moment.
