No one has been arrested after the explosion in Falkenberg on Thursday. The explosion was the week’s third in the Halland town.

There have been explosions in Falkenberg during the night of Tuesday, the night of Wednesday – and now most recently late on Thursday evening. According to the police, it is not unlikely that the events are connected to each other.

– We don’t know yet, but it is still close at hand to connect them in some way, says police spokesperson Stefan Gustafsson to TT.

The police were called to the scene at 11 p.m. after several people heard a loud bang. The explosion took place at a property gate in central Falkenberg, and during the night of Friday, the police’s national bomb squad was called in to investigate the scene.

The incident is being investigated as public vandalism, but no suspects have yet been arrested by police who are appealing for people who may have seen something.

– We are looking for more witnesses to this incident, says Stefan Gustafsson.

For local radio, several people talk about their concerns.

– What is happening to the world, you start to think. There are shootings and explosions every week or two here in Falkenberg. It is worrying, says Cecilia Svensson to P4 Halland.
