AMERSFOORT – Three regional derbies were scheduled in the third division D today. VVZA and Zwaluwen Utrecht 1911 achieved a victory and APWC and PVC played a goalless draw against each other.

Ranking

Zwaluwen continues to compete for the championship. They are third with two points less than number two Abcoude and five points less than leader Sporting’70. APWC is fifth with twelve points, one more than number six VVZA, which played one more game. Amsvorde and PVC are in the basement. Amsvorde is the number penultimate with five points. PVC remains behind with four points.

VVZA settles with Amsvorde after the break

The clash in the Keistad between VVZA and Amsvorde ended in a convincing 3-0 victory for the home team. The visitors of Amsvorde had little to say at Sportpark Emiclaer in Amersfoort.

However, it was a matter of waiting for goals until after the break. Fabian Bakker opened the score shortly after the break, after which attacker Yannick Vink just before time – with two hits within two minutes – determined the final score at 3-0.

Vink thinks the victory is very important for VVZA. “The trainer also called it a six-point duel before the game. We finish at Amsvorde and distance ourselves from the relegation zone. We would like that. The trainer often says that we are one of the best teams when it comes to football, but we are having a hard time physically and we often lose.”

Due to the defeat, Amsvorde remains at the bottom of the third division. “On the other hand, it is close together at the bottom. It is not that it is a disaster now. My team is going to do good things. We are not a relegation candidate,” says trainer Rik Klement.

APWC does not live up to favorite role

APWC from Amersfoort drew 0-0 at home against PVC from Utrecht in a disappointing match. There were many irritations and violations and few opportunities were created. The final phase was the most sparkling. APWC, which had been labeled as favourite, then got the best chance of the match, but goals were not scored at De Koppel sports park.

Justin Bohus experienced the match as terrible. The AWPC goalkeeper says: “It was a very slow pace of the ball and there were few opportunities. It was bloodless and boring.”

Whining too long towards the ref

The irritations and whining towards the referee is a common story at APWC. “We talk about this every week and try to solve it. It’s still an emotion that you say something. I think we go on too long and point too often to the referee. That man is also doing his best.”

Swallows the boss at their own sports park

Zwaluwen recorded a 3-1 victory over AFC Quick 1980 from Amersfoort at their own sports park Welgelegen. The home team was better and opened the score through Mohamed Adarghal. Still, the visitors equalized from a penalty kick by Khalid Benali. Patrick Hendriks again gave Zwaluwen a lead. In the second half the 3-1 of Nouredinne el Aita fell.

Hendriks still got a dot of a chance on his second goal. “Poltje,” he says with a laugh. “No, it was a bit tired. The way I did it didn’t look very good. I could laugh about it because we were leading, but such a ball has to go in.”
