Sarnia police bailed residents on social media about noon Feb. 29 there would be an increased officer presence near the motel. They included a photo of an officer escorting a person into custody.
No injuries were reported and no shots fired, Sarnia police said at the time. The active part of the probe ended by 7 pm but officers stayed on site to investigate, they said later.
No further details have been released by police.
