News24 have talked to Catharina Claessonhead of Pharmacy at Apotek Hjärtat, about how to handle extreme heat in the best way and what you should actually completely refrain from when it’s hot outside.
– If it is very hot, it is good to avoid direct sunlight, not to exert too much or exercise in the heat, especially if you are older, she tells Nyheter24.

She also says that you should refrain from training during the hottest hours of the day, and wait until it has cooled down.
– You can wait with exercise until it is cooler outside and the elderly can think about avoiding physical exertion when it is very hot.

How to recover from dehydration
If you stay outside for a long time in the heat, there is a risk of becoming dehydrated and feeling weak and tired. To recover from this stage, Catharina Claesson has some tips.
– If you are hot and have drunk too little, perhaps become dehydrated, you can usually recover yourself by cooling down as described above and making sure to drink fluids, Catharina Claesson tells Nyheter24 and continues:
