ISRAELI ARMY REFUSED TO COMMENT
When asked by an AA correspondent about the explosions in Iran, the Israeli army spokesman replied that “they have not commented on this issue yet.” The spokesperson stated that no changes have been made to the security instructions given to the public yet.
“THE ATTACK DID NOT CAUSE DAMAGE”
Siyavesh Mihendust, one of the commanders of the Iranian army, said, “The explosion in question occurred as a result of the fire opened by the air defense system in Isfahan against an unidentified suspicious object, and the attack did not cause any damage.”
An explosion was heard at 04:00 local time in the northeast of Iran’s Isfahan province. A series of unmanned aerial vehicles attacked Isfahan Airport and the Iranian army’s Shikari 8th Main Jet Air Base. Iranian state television announced that air defense systems were activated and the attack was prevented. “IT MAY HAVE TAKEN AIR FROM IRAN”
Iranian Space Organization Spokesperson Hussein Dalirian stated that the UAVs used in the attack on Iran were short-range and that these UAVs may have taken off from within Iran.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Iranian media had announced that explosions were heard in the northeast of Isfahan province, which hosts the Iranian Air Force Base. Following the explosion sounds in Isfahan province, it was reported that flights in Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz and some parts of Iran were suspended.
