How to protect yourself from thieves in the ski slope
A new phenomenon is that thieves focus on expensive clothes, especially jackets, says Lina Nilsson. When people go into restaurants and hang off their outer clothes, they strike.
To reduce the risk of getting rid of their equipment or clothes, there are some simple tricks. For example, it may be good to split the skis and put them in different places, preferably a bit apart. You should also lock the equipment with cables or locks to ensure that it is not stolen.

Lina Nilsson also emphasizes the importance of not leaving equipment and clothing unattended. A good tip may also be to label their clothes.
– Then you can at least show that it (the jacket) is your own if you see it on someone, she tells P4 Stockholm.
Also the municipal police Mariana Handler In Åre confirms that theft is a recurring problem during the sports holiday weeks. She urges ski tourists to be vigilant and use security measures.
