Thierry Henry will unveil a first list for the football

Thierry Henry will remove some of the suspense by revealing on Monday June 3 the pre-list of 26 or 27 players selected for the preparation course for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will begin on Sunday June 16 in Clairefontaine. The French group is therefore not set in stone and adjustments will still have to be made before the Bleuets coach sends his final list of 18 players to Paris 2024 and to Fifa, no later than July 3, but we will know finally the main outlines after a press conference given from the headquarters of the Federation. According to a source close to the club, PSG has already refused to release its two nuggets Bradley Barcola (21 years old) and Warren Zaire-Emery (18 years old), two executives from Henry’s selection who had nevertheless expressed their want to compete in the Games. This was also the exact message from Real Madrid in March, when the club warned several federations that its players would not be able to play two final stages this summer. Among the Bleuets, this decision concerned Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Aurélien Tchouameni, all selectable by Henry, but also selected by Didier Deschamps for the Euro. It also cooled the ardor of star Kylian Mbappé, whose transfer to Real should be announced at the start of next week. Antoine Griezmann, another candidate for the Olympic tournament, will probably not see the Olympics either for the same reasons. After two weeks in Clairefontaine, the Bleuets will have three preparation matches against Paraguay on July 4 in Bayonne, the Dominican Republic on July 11 and Japan on July 17 in Toulon. The French Olympic team will enter the Olympic Games on July 24 against the United States at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.
