Thierry Henry resigns Sports in a nutshell

Thierry Henry, who piloted French football to the men’s Olympic final, is leaving his position as head coach of the under-21 national team.

A football legend Thierry Henry leaves his position as the head coach of the French under-21 national team. According to the French Football Federation, Henry is giving up the job for “personal reasons”. He was supposed to pilot the team until the summer of 2025.

Henry led France to the final of the men’s soccer tournament at the Paris Olympics. However, in the final match, France succumbed to Spain 3–5 after the overtime match.

In his career, the French giant Henry represented, among others, Monaco, Juventus, Barcelona and Arsenal. He is still the London club’s all-time leading scorer. In the national team jersey, Henry celebrated, among other things, the World Championship gold in 1998 and the European Championship in 2000.

In his coaching career, Henry has worked as an assistant coach of the Belgian men’s national team and as the head coach of Monaco and Montreal.
