“They’re not like me”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s sons Maximilian and Vincent have grown up now.
Then “Ibra” tries to do everything to help in their further development.
– They have a lot of pressure on them, just like their father, he says in an interview with Milan.

Throughout the autumn have Zlatan Ibrahimovic got to follow Milan from the stands. Due to the serious knee injury that forced him into surgery last spring, however, he is now approaching his long-awaited comeback in Serie A again.

Zlatan about the sons

In the stands, Zlatan has often been seen together with eldest son Maximilian. Father Ibrahimovic has tried to teach as much as possible how to play football at the absolute highest level and the son has listened.

It has been instructive for Zlatan, who wants to help his sons Maximilian and Vincent in the best possible way. Both love football and have one of the world’s best goalscorers to look up to – and it makes it easier when you get to go and see Milan in action every week.
– There they can see what I mean when I have explained. I explain that everyone can make mistakes, because they have a lot of pressure on them, just like their father. I tell Max and Vincent. But when they hear it from their father, they don’t always listen because they have other role models, he says in an interview with Milan’s own media channel.
– I also tell myself that mistakes must not happen, that it is impossible but in reality, Ibra can make mistakes. If Ibra can make mistakes, anyone can, says Ibrahimovic.

“Not like dad”

Zlatan is also asked if his sons’ style of play reminds him of himself in his younger days. But there “Ibra” puts his foot down and absolutely does not want to compare the sons with himself.

The Swede’s honest words really show that the children have a very good role model in their father.
– I believe that everyone has their own identity, their own character and their own style of play. It’s unfair with such comparisons, because it just gets annoying. Everyone is unique. They play as they need, as they have learned and as they want. They are not like their father, says the 41-year-old in the interview.
– You shouldn’t compare, because they are young and need to have fun. They must feel good and enjoy what they do.
