In the Russia-Ukraine war, the whole world is locked in the statements of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelenskiy. Zelensky will address the British parliament via videoconference tomorrow at 17.00 local time from Kiev, the capital of the Russian-occupied Ukraine.
OFFICIAL BUSINESS IN THE PARLIAMENT WILL BE SUSPENDED
It was stated that due to Zelenskiy’s address, official affairs in the British parliament would be suspended and there would be no question-and-answer section in the address. It has been announced that Zelensky’s speech will be in Ukrainian and there will be simultaneous translation into English. It was reported that screens will be set up in the assembly hall so that the deputies can watch Zelenskiy’s speech.
“A GREAT OPPORTUNITY”
Making a statement on the subject, Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle said, “Every parliamentarian wants to hear directly from the president who will talk to us live from Ukraine. Therefore, this is an important opportunity for the parliament.”
