WoW Classic should actually be a nostalgic journey through time for fans of the MMORPG. In the RAID area in particular, however, players who are all about one thing: performance. The classic idea is lost, especially veterans.
What do “elite” Raider need?
The players mock this: Vials and other objects of tide are absurd in WoW Classic on most servers. One of the reasons is the coveted black lotus, a reagent, whose rarity has already caused trouble.
To get to the buffs, many players invest several hours to farm enough gold or materials. On Reddit, this procedure is more of a shake of the head, because it is by no means really necessary.
In one meme, one user says: You can invest 6 hours of farm to create a raid in 2 hours – or instead you do it without buffs in 3 hours. Most should be clear what costs less time here.

“I’m surprised how many people want to be in the club”
In the comments, the users continue to mock that all of this is only for the “Parses” means: to be as high as possible in lists like the Warcraft logs in order to be able to brag about his performance.
Others throw in that you only want to get through so quickly to be able to master all raids during the duration of the buffs. Nobody really takes time, everything just has to go quickly.
With the ambition, however, there is also a big problem: buying gold. Not every player has the time to farm the gold and therefore use non-vacationed methods, such as buying gold from bots. Bots have been a problem in WoW Classic and Blizzard diligently distributed spells – even if some players read this as a “break”, some suspect.
Where does the thought come from? Ambitious players and professionals use every little advantage to stand at the top in logs and rankings. They only play to be in first place – or to get as almost as possible. Some “casuals” apparently think that they would have to emulate the whole well -known, large players.
WoW used to be new and boss mechanics unknown, many players had to learn their classes first. Today there are addons, guides and enough players with experience in order to make almost every struggle of that time completely trivial. Pressing out every small percent performance is simply no longer necessary for a kill.
However, this is not the only reason. Meinmmo editor, MMORPG expert and WoW veteran Karsten Scholz says:
When it comes to time -consuming farms of bottles and World Buffs, it’s not necessarily about saving time in the raid. It is about the Power Fantasy that you live out when 40 fully buffed Azeroth heroes pulverize an instance such as the melted core or the pitch swing after a very short time. And it’s about finding out how fast and efficient you can be at the next run, maybe also compared to other guilds.
Needing several hours for a raid is not realistic, according to many users. Raids are comparatively simple and so easy in WoW Classic today that players don’t even have to reach the maximum level to master them. Where the bosses were able to withstand several weeks earlier, they are today within days or even hours: The best players are through after 24 hours with what used to take 6 weeks
