As the Russia-Ukraine war continued, footage emerged of Russian soldiers shooting an unarmed Ukrainian soldier to death. In the footage, where the reactions grew like an avalanche, it was seen that one of the Russian soldiers said “Film him” and then the Ukrainian soldier was shot after saying “Victory to Ukraine”. The identity of the Ukrainian soldier in question and when and where the footage was recorded is not yet known.

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, reacted to the footage in a statement on his social media account, saying, “Killing a prisoner of war is another Russian Federation war crime. These are elements of a methodical policy of terror that Kremlin propaganda has justified with its myths about ‘Nazis’. This is also an example of their national weakness. Every such war crime will be punished. No one can escape justice. We will find them all,” he said.
