They receive up to 530 euros each month: 350,000 French people soon “private” with CAF help?

They receive up to 530 euros each month 350000 French

A change in the payment of CAF aid could soon come into force.

What if CAF stopped paying money to beneficiaries … to grant it directly to other beneficiaries? This is the project envisaged for one of the flagship devices of the Family Allowance Fund: the complement of free childcare (CMG), better known as the aid paid to pay a nanny.

Each year, more than 700,000 French people benefit from this support in order to finance the custody of their child under the age of six with a maternal assistant. It varies from 100 to 530 euros per month depending on the situation of the home. The difference is then paid for the difference. However, a change could soon come into force.

The idea is not to delete this help but to modify its payment terms. Currently, after having made their declaration, half of the parents perceive the CMG and then sets him over to the ass-heat. The other half does not see the money pass through his account: he is directly sent to the nanny. But only those affiliated with pajeemploi+ can benefit from it, or 51% of professionals.

This system could soon be extended to all childminders. Indeed, part of them faces unpaid people on the part of the parents, while they touch the CMG. An absence of income putting them in a particularly difficult situation, to which are added the costs for the judicial procedures incurred. If the members at Pajeemploi+ benefit from a wage guarantee up to two months of unpaid, the others find themselves without anything.

A bill therefore aims to change the rules: that the CMG is paid directly to the maternal assistant, in all cases, and that the aid no longer goes through the parents. “Although partial, this amount would guarantee basic income”, aims at forty deputies at the origin of the text, including the ex and ephemeral Minister of the Economy, Antoine Armand, but also the former Minister of Health Frédéric Valletoux. The text should arrive at the Assembly in the coming weeks.
