They fall after resting place murder

It was at the end of April last year that a 70-year-old man was visited by several men in the Stockholm suburbs Skärholmen. The same evening, the man was reported by his relatives and the following day they heard from the police that they received a message that he would have been kidnapped.

The kidnappers demanded SEK 45,000 to release the man free alive, according to the message from the unknown number.

In early May, the man was then found dead at a resting place on the E4 outside Huskvarna. Then he was completely bloody, had tied hands and no shoes. Prosecutor Sara Malmhester believes that the man had been tied up and was thrown in the tailgate on a car. He had then died as a result of the injuries from abuse, which led to him either fled or died due to brain damage, according to forensic doctors.

Four defendants are sentenced – one for murder

One of the men, a 35-year-old man who is now being convicted of both murder and human robbery, was suspected immediately as the murdered man’s family already knew him after their father talked about him as “a bad man”. In addition to the main suspect, two younger men were also convicted of human trafficking and a woman for the protection of serious criminal.

Södertörn District Court wrote that the man is sentenced to murder receives life imprisonment. The two convicted of human trafficking are sentenced to prison and closed youth care. The judgment for the protection of gross criminal is sentenced to conditional judgment and community service

Was wanted internationally

The 35-year-old man was internationally wanted after the suspicions were directed at him, but it would take until November until he was arrested in Greece.

In interrogation with the police, he shares for his picture of the incident. Among other things, he claims that the murdered man owed him money and that they had no intention to kill him, but only wanted to push him to repay his debt.

He admits that they tied him and drove around with him in the tailgate, but claims that they did not mean to hurt him but only to scare him. When the 35-year-old then opened the tailgate, he was met by a bloody sight and that the 70-year-old was dead.

– I didn’t really know what to do with his body. It was dark out there so I stopped somewhere, I don’t know where it was, and moved on his body. Although I absolutely did not want it to end like this. I didn’t want it to be that way at all, says the 35-year-old in interrogation.

He must then have moved the country because he was scared.
