The incident in Diyarbakir occurred in Kayapınar district. ATTACKED WITH KNIFE
People who blocked the ambulance with cars attacked with a knife after taking the health workers out of the vehicle. In the incident, the health worker ZE was hit on the head, his nose was broken, and Ş.Ö. had a cut on his arm as a result of the knife attack.
ED, a female health worker, and VT, a trainee student, were also hit.
INJURED HEALTH PERSONNEL ATTENDED TO HOSPITAL
The injured health personnel, who were rescued by the employees of another ambulance who came to the scene after the attack, were taken to Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital. Police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification of the situation.
Among the wounded who were treated at the hospital, 30 stitches were placed on Ş.Ö.’s arm and 20 on ZE’s head. Health workers complained about the attack.

Nurhak Ensarioğlu, Head of the Diyarbakır Branch of the Health and Social Workers’ Union (Sağlık-Sen), reacted to the attack. Making a statement, Ensarioğlu stated that the health workers who returned to the command center after leaving the patient to the Gazi Yaşargil Educational Research were attacked, and said, “It happened to us on the road, as usual today. Traffic cops block the road. Despite the superiority of the ambulance, they do not give way. “They are taking our friends out of the vehicle and battering them. They seem to be in good health right now. It is seen that he was cut with a cutting tool. We have a friend whose nose and head were broken. We have 4 injured. There is a battered injury. 2 of them are currently under treatment, the others are being treated outpatients,” he said.
In the investigation initiated by the Public Security Branch Directorate teams about the incident, 3 people from the group determined to be involved in the attack were caught and detained. The investigation is ongoing. (DHA)
