Björn Hellkvist was noticeably frustrated after Sunday’s 5-9 loss at home against Kalmar and left after the match interview with TV4 after he buzzed on a question from the commentator.
– Is it a mockery, right? he said before he stormed out.
– I think it is directly embarrassing to let in nine goals at home for any team. If you are also a top team, it must not happen. And that’s why I just think that Björn Hellkvist wants to try to focus away from the poor performance by trying to take the headline, says TV4’s program manager Lars Lindberg in TV4 Hockey pod.
“Understands his frustration”
TV4’s expert Petter Rönnqvist understands Hellkvist’s frustration, but emphasizes that the coach’s anger was not directed about the commentator, but his own team.
– He is not a dew lacquer at Hermansson at all that asks a completely relevant question in that situation, he says in the pod.
– Björn is moody. There are high mountains and deep valleys. I like him. When you meet him privately, it is a lovely guy but he has this temperament itself and I understand his frustration and it was completely clear to me that it was on the team.
On Sunday 16:46
Hellkvist leaves the interview: “Is it a mockery?”
“Toky with Allsvenskan”
Lars Lindberg says he thinks that Björklöven as a team is far too offensively balanced, which Petter Rönnqvist agrees with.
– Many players are satisfied with playing in Allsvenskan and score a lot of points. I question whether these players hold in a third line in SHL where they are not allowed to score so many points. I just pour on there, says Rönnqvist, who has been on “Löven” with the same criticism throughout the season.
The tabletan Björklöven has scored 132 goals in 46 matches this season – more than all other top teams and as many as Tabellian Almtuna.
The team meets the last Vimmerby on away ice tonight – drop -down 19.00.
