The youngest Prime Minister of the Fifth Republic, Gabriel Attal attended the Alsatian School from the main section from nursery to final year. Located in the 6th arrondissement of the capital, this establishment was founded by Alsatian Protestant refugee academics, after the annexation of Alsace-Lorraine by the German Empire following the French defeat of 1870. Secular and mixed, “the Alsa”, as it is nicknamed, welcomes children whose parents are generally well-off and are looking for a pedagogy which is not only centered on the transmission of knowledge, but also on sport, the arts and listening to children. Gabriel Attal rubbed shoulders with future stars in this school which has been attended by many people since its creation!
