Ellen Pompeo had played the title role of Grey’s Anatomy. But thunderbolt on February 23, 2023, the interpreter of Meredith Gray bid farewell to the series during season 19. This confirms the fact that the actress was turning less in the series to devote herself to other projects. After more than 15 years of good and loyal service, Ellen Pompeo now wishes to appear in other fictions. The 53-year-old actress, however, assured that she could return to the series on an ad hoc basis. She also remains executive producer and continues to narrate the episodes in voice-over.
