These elements which connect rapper Koba Lad to the escape

Rapper Koba Lad is suspected of being involved in the escape case of drug traffickers Mohammed Amra. He was out of his Fleury-Mérogis prison to be heard by investigators on Monday, March 24.

New draft in the Mohammed Amra case, but he caught a famous rapper: Koba Lad. The artist from Seine-Saint-Denis, incarcerated in Fleury-Mérogis prison after his conviction last September for a case of violence in a Parisenne nightclub, was extracted from his cell to be heard by the investigators this Monday, March 24.

Like the other 23 people arrested on Monday, rapper Koba Lad is suspected of having helped the escape of Mohammed Amra, either by the deadly intervention in the Puncil toll, or by the concealment of the drug trafficker in an apartment in Rouen, or by the organization of the fleeting of the fugitive in Romania. Investigators do not yet know precisely if the rapper is involved in this case, and in which case how.

Several elements, however, made it possible to establish links between Koba Lad and Mohammed Amra. The two men already met in 2023 when they were in a cell in the health prison. The investigation would also have made it possible to uncover exchanges spent between the imprisoned rapper and relatives to him who have proven to be the protagonists of the file.

Links between Koba Lad and the Black Manjak Family

It is also Koba Lad’s links with the criminal organization of the Black Manjak Family (BMF) who question the investigators. This criminal group, born in the districts of Evreux, in Eure, is at the origin of the escape of Mohammed Amra. The rapper is associated with the BMF Agency label for his career, an acronym that would directly refer to the name of a criminal gang and one of these titles is entitled Bmf. If the rapper’s attachment to this organization is not clearly proven, Koba Lad’s little brother was indeed a “notorious member of the BMF” according to information from Parisian. The rapper’s youngest was even suspected of being part of the commando which allowed the escape of Mohammed Amra to the Incarville toll. The latter died on November 1, 2024 in a car accident at Heudebouville toll.

If Koba Lad is suspected of having taken part, in one way or another in the escape of Mohamme Amra, this is also the case of some of his relatives within the BMF Agency, in particular of his partner Hervé D. who was arrested during the first wave of arrest after the arrest of the drug trafficker.

This is not the first time that rapper Koba Lad has been mixed with a legal case. At almost 25 years old, the artist already has several mentions in his criminal record: he was involved in several brawls and fights, notably during a showcase in Brussels in 2021 or a nightclub outing in Paris in 2022. In April 2022, the rapper participated in the passage to tobacco and the confinement of his former manager, facts for which he was sentenced last September.
