Whether for a current account, savings or consumer credit, all consumers are concerned.

The first to have bowed out was the company HSBC France. If you are one of the 800,000 French people who hold a bank card belonging to this large group, know that it is obsolete. Second bank to have suffered the 2023 financial crisis: Orange Bank. This online bank, belonging to the famous telephone operator, should close its activity during the year. Here again, 800,000 users will have to reorganize. Finally, Ma French Bank will also close its doors within a few months. This second online bank should pass the message to its 700,000 customers very soon. So, what is the procedure to follow?

How to transfer your money?

Each establishment follows a very specific protocol in order to best protect its customers. Regarding HSBC France, the company was absorbed by My Money Group and was reborn under the name Crédit Commercial de France (CCF). Good news ! The company retains all of its agencies and advisors. However, customers will receive a new account number, a new RIB, a new IBAN and new identifiers to access their online customer area.

As for Orange Bank, negotiations are underway with BNP Paribas to transfer all banking products to the group’s online bank: Hello Bank. However, it is important to note that the transfer will not be automatic. It will be up to customers themselves to contact BNP Paribas to regain control of their current accounts. Finally, for Ma French Bank, a subsidiary of the La Poste group, La Banque Postale should offer all customers the possibility of opening an account within it during the year. The precise date is still to be defined.
