These are the things Trump would pursue in his second

Trump’s re-election would take the United States in a more conservative direction and change the country’s role in world politics.

If the former President of the United States Donald Trump is re-elected president, the role of the United States in world politics may change again for years.

In his previous election term, Trump took his country in a more isolated direction by, among other things, threatening trade wars and withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement.

What would Trump’s second term mean for the United States?

Trump, who is running for president, wants to promote the best of US companies, but partly at the expense of nature.

The news agency Reuters listed what issues Trump would pursue in his possible new presidential term.

According to Reuters, Trump would, among other things, punish his political enemies, deport millions of migrants and change world trade with tariffs, if he wins the presidential election in November 2024.

In climate policy, Trump would take the back seat. For example, he would increase the production of fossil fuels. In addition, he would withdraw the United States from the Paris climate agreement again. Trump has called climate change a Chinese hoax.

Trump has already announced that he will impose a higher than current 10 percent tariff on all imported products when elected. In Trump’s plans, the tariffs apply especially to China. He proposes to phase out imports of products imported from China, such as electronics and steel.

In addition, Trump seeks to ban Chinese companies from owning stakes in the US energy infrastructure and technology sectors.

“Traditional Americanism”

Abortion is becoming an important issue in next year’s elections, which could be a problem for Republicans. The Supreme Court overturned abortion rights at the federal level last year. During his presidency, Trump appointed three conservative justices to the Supreme Court, and according to Reuters, he is likely to appoint more.

Trump has promised to limit access to asylum at the US-Mexico border. Trump is preparing for the new presidency by planning a massive operation targeting illegal immigrants in the United States, says The New York Times.

As president, he would like to deport millions of people from the United States every year. According to the newspaper, the operation targeting migrants would be the largest in modern US history.

In schools, Trump would defend “traditional Americanism” and cut diversity programs from colleges and universities.

Trump has also threatened to ban “urban camps” for the homeless in his upcoming presidency and to force the homeless into drug rehab under the threat of arrest.

The US presidential election will be held on November 5.
