However, the film based on the well-known series of fighting games was not particularly well received by viewers. Based on a total of 56,441 ratings, Mortal Kombat Annihilation earned a mere 3.6 out of 10 stars.

Far Cry (2008) comes from director Uwe Boll. The film picks up the story of the first first-person shooter in the series. In the leading role, Til Schweiger plays the former soldier Jack Carver, who now leads a quiet life on a boat.
However, one day he receives an order from a journalist to drive to a secret military base on an island. There he has to fight against mutants and stop the gene experiments single-handedly.
The film received a total of 14,583 ratings on IMDb. Of the 10 stars, the users gave Far Cry just 3.2 stars. 30% of the viewers only gave one star for the action movie.
