But on the day of the wedding rehearsal, Victor simply can’t recite the vow without mistakes.
Desperate, he runs into the neighboring forest and wants to practice there in peace. He accidentally puts the ring on the bone finger of the dead bride Emily, who was murdered by her lover. She insists that she is Victor’s legal wife and takes him with her to the underworld. This means that Victor is faced with a decision, because Victoria’s life is suddenly in danger.
What makes Corpse Bride a truly beautiful film is not only a touching story, but also the stop-motion technique that was used.

As a bit of a heads up for anyone who has a heart for dogs, this film contains a scene that might really bother you.
Sweeney Todd – The devilish barber from Fleet Street

Many years ago, the young barber lived in London with his wife and baby until the jealous Judge Turpin set his eyes on his pretty wife. He had Benjamin Barker arrested and innocently thrown into prison in order to get to her.
Back from exile, he learns that his wife was abused by Turpin and then took arsenic to end her suffering. Todd decides to take revenge and receives support from the woman who has now opened a snack bar in his old barber shop. It quickly becomes clear that he can use his knives to help her out in return. Because getting meat for their pies is very difficult at these times.
A little fun fact about the film: Director Tim Burton was sure from the start that he would cast Johnny for the lead role. He did not allow any other candidate. When his team asked him whether he could even sing, he said he didn’t know. The team was very nervous then, but there was no point in discussing it. You can decide after the film whether Johnny was ultimately convincing with his singing.
