These 6 series definitely don’t go any further

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

No streaming service releases as many new series every year as Netflix. But of the more than 100 original series per year, very few make it past one season. Fans often have to worry about the fate of their favorite shows for months. And not infrequently follows the shattering verdict: dismissed.

Over 20 series were discontinued in 2022. Netflix could set a new record this year. After less than a month, the early endings of 6 series have already been announced. To keep you up to date, you can find one here Overview of all Netflix cancellations in 2023.

Overview of all series that Netflix canceled in 2023

Netflix

Uncoupled

  • Seasons: 1
  • Moviepilot rating: 6.7
  • Sex and the City creator Darren Star created a smash hit for Netflix with Emily in Paris. Uncoupled should be the next RomCom hit. In it, Neil Patrick Harris plays a gay man in his mid-40s who has been dumped by his partner after 17 years and is now struggling to navigate the New York dating scene. Almost half a year after the start, it was announced that the first eight episodes would remain the only ones.

Canceled Netflix series: Dead End: Paranormal Park

    Netflix

    dead end

  • Seasons: 2

  • Hamish Steele’s comic adaptation wasn’t just a supernatural, creepy and, above all, funny adventure fun about the haunted house attraction of an amusement park. Dead End: Paranormal Park was also another queer milestone for LGBTQ+ representation in cartoon series. After the initially ordered two seasons and a cliffhanger ending, the series was canceled.

    Tribes of Europa

  • discontinued in January

    Canceled Netflix series: The Professor

    The Chair

  • discontinued in January
  • Seasons: 1
  • Moviepilot rating: 6.6
  • Grey’s Anatomy and Killing Eve star Sandra Oh plays the dramedy, produced by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss, as the first female professor to lead the English department at Pembroke University and faces a series of crises. The cancellation only became known after almost 17 months of uncertainty.

    Canceled Netflix series: Inside Job

    Netflix

    Inside job

However, we would have preferred to see the 3-season master plan completed.
