In the 4th episode of the 2nd season of House of the Dragon entitled The Red and the Golden Dragon Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) welcomes the young Oscar Tully (Archie Barnes) in the spooky castle Harrenhal to discuss supporting his house.

House Tully, with the trout as its heraldic animal, is best known for Catelyn Stark from Game of Thrones, who married after Winterfell. But unlike her relatives from 200 years ago, she was not named after furry dolls from children’s television.

For the Lords of Riverrun, fantasy author George RR Martin took the liberty of Fire and Blood * a funny joke. Oscar Tully from the most recent episode is actually Oscar from the trash can from the long-running children’s show Sesame Street. But the series of references doesn’t end there.

For the HBO series, Oscar was apparently combined with his brother from the books, who in all seriousness Kermit Tully It’s a shame, because the title of the classic Muppet ballad It’s Not Easy Being Green by Kermit the Frog would have been a great fit for the series.
