According to meteorological officials, Sindh in the south and Punjab in the northeast were the regions most affected by the scorching heat. The heat wave is expected to continue for at least another week.

51 degrees Celsius recorded in Jacobabad was the highest temperature recorded this year.
Television channel 92 News reported that at least three children died due to severe heat in the Kaccho district of Sindh state today, while temperatures were recorded as 50 degrees in Larkana.
In the statement made by the meteorological authorities, the farmers were warned that the hot and dry weather adversely affected the water reserves, crops, vegetable and orchards.
