Now the trio is being sawn – by Therese Johaug.

It was in a high-profile interview with Viaplay that the Swedish star trio directed harsh criticism at the Swedish national skiing team. Frida Karlsson, Maja Dahlqvist and Linn Svahn left the national team’s training group this spring to focus on their own for the upcoming WC season.
Johaug’s criticism
All parties have said all along that there are no “hard feelings”, and that was exactly what made the interview so unexpected. In the trio said that there is no communication at all with the national team about how things are going with training and fitness, which the trio said was strange.
But a person does not find it strange. Therese Johaug has, throughout the debate whether it is right or wrong to leave the national team in the way the Swedes have done, said that it is wrong. Johaug has said that she always enjoyed herself best in a group, and that the best thing for the development of all skaters is if the best are together in the same training group. And she doesn’t have much left for the trio’s criticism this time either.

“Must stand for it”
When Johaug is asked by VG about what she thinks of the criticism from Karlsson, Dahlqvist and Svahn, Johaug rather directs criticism at the Swedes.
– They must stand for their priorities. If they have chosen to be outside the national team, they must take the consequences for that. They cannot come afterwards and expect to be completely looked after by the national team. That’s my opinion, anyway.
After the stars’ criticism, everyone has met with the national team to talk, and it is said that they are good friends and that the air has been cleared. The World Cup starts in Ruka on November 25, and there is a lot to be said for the fact that at least Frida Karlsson and Maja Dahlqvist are in the squad. Linn Svahn has just returned from a tough shoulder injury, and it is unclear when she can compete again.
