They must have been bitter rivals on the ski slopes.
But aside from that, Therese Johaug and Charlotte Kalla have always had a good relationship.
Now the Norwegian skiing queen shows the private pictures from her weekend together with Kalla.
For many years, the Norwegian ski star dueled Therese Johaug and the Swedish hope Charlotte Kalla for the throne as the world’s best cross-country skier. Most often it was Johaug who salvaged the most gold medals, but Kalla can also boast a very successful career.

Despite the great rivalry that prevailed, Johaug and Kalla have always had a good relationship with each other besides sports and after their careers they seem to be better friends than ever. Charlotte got in touch and showed her support when Therese received her harsh doping sentence and over the years they have kept in touch as friends.

Both ended their skiing careers at the same time in 2022 and since then both have been pregnant and become mothers. Kalla recently had a son and Johaug a daughter.
Johaug’s happiness
Now the skiing rivals have reunited again. Therese Johaug has shared with me private pictures from her own bachelorette party which took place on the island of Stokkøya outside Trondheim, see the pictures below. Several famous skiers were present in the form of Marit Björgen, Ingvild Flugstad Östberg and so also Charlotte Kalla as the only Swedish in the group.

In the pictures, you can see how the friends celebrate Johaug with swimming, nice dinners, rib boating and even training sessions. The happiest of all is of course the bride-to-be Therese Johaug, who is beaming with happiness and seems to have had a great weekend.
“A thousand thanks to my fiance and friends for the hen party of all times,” writes Johaug on Instagram along with the photos, which you can see below.

Can return
Johaug got engaged to her fiance Nils Jacob Hoff on New Year’s Eve 2021 after being a couple since 2014. In May of this year, they had their daughter Kristin and the wedding is booked for next New Year’s Eve.
Then there is the question of whether the Norwegian skiing queen makes a sensational comeback to the sport of skiing again after both pregnancy and wedding for a bet towards the skiing WC 2025 in Trondheim.
– We’ll see. I haven’t really decided yet if there will be any more ski races or no ski races. Right now I’m enjoying life as a mother. I have to admit that I exercise a little. Yes, I do, she told Norwegian NRK a month ago.
