Therese Johaug’s clear pass to Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson before the comeback – and the Swedish answer: “I hope that…”

The world’s best skier is back again.
Therese Johaug has decided to return to the ski slopes.
Now the Norwegian skiing queen sends a clear pass to Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson.

Today came the big news that Therese Johaug makes a sensational comeback to cross-country skiing again. At a press conference, the Norwegian skiing queen announced that she has decided to put on her ski boots again and is making a whole-hearted commitment to the skiing WC in Holmenkollen.

Johaug back

It has been two and a half years since Johaug left the sport and retired. Since then, the 35-year-old has become a mother for the first time in her life, but her passion for skiing has not diminished.

Now she feels great motivation to return to the ski slopes again. Where the ski WC on home soil is a big reason why she is making a comeback.
– I feel that I am not done with skiing and I feel that I want to give the WC a chance, says the Norwegian at the press conference.
– I have to train in a slightly different way now and have tested during the spring and summer. I’ve known over time what it’s like to balance family life with exercise. It’s not the same as before.

Ebba and Frida

In total, there have been 4 Olympic golds and 14 WC golds for Therese Johaug. Now the big star reveals why she chose to end her career in 2022.
– It hurt me a lot inside to quit. I wasn’t tired of competing, but I was tired of training. My desire to become a mother was so great that I decided to quit, she says in front of the gathered journalists.

Johaug also chooses to send a clear pass to his blue-yellow rivals Frida Karlsson and Ebba Anderssonwho can now look forward to significantly tougher competition at the top of the world.
– I have seen that those on the other side, the Swedes, hope that I will come back. I hope I can make the Swedes tremble now, says the Norwegian in a cheeky grin.

Andersson receives the message about Therese Johaug in the middle of a training session and is therefore quite tight-lipped.
– I’m out training and unfortunately don’t have time to talk. But that was expected, says Ebba to Radiosporten.
– Yes, it will be great fun, but now I have to keep training if I’m going to be able to match her.
