After 11 days, the race for the “World First Kill” in World of Warcraft Dragonflight is over. Echo wins the exciting race.
Raszageth the Storm Eater’s World First Kill happened in World of Warcraft Dragonflight. The guild Echo managed to send the final boss from the Vault of Incarnations to the digital afterlife on Mythic difficulty. The race is over just before Christmas – and takes a lot of pressure off the players.
You can watch the final pull here (from 09:12:20):
Great improvement in a short time: It is interesting how crass Echo has improved in the last few hours. Less than a day ago it looked almost impossible that Raszageth would be defeated without significantly better equipment. Because the last phase is a brute race against time and in the first attempts the boss still had a whopping 20% โโof his life points when the full raid was wiped out.
Race went longer than expected: Actually, before the start of the raid, the guilds had expected that the race would be decided in 3 or 4 days. Because the first raid of an expansion is usually comparatively easy. In addition, Blizzard did not want raid players to have to struggle in the raid over the Christmas holidays when they actually want to spend the contemplative time with family and friends. With 11 days, the race therefore ran much longer than expected.
It took Echo a whopping 265 attempts to finally defeat Raszageth.
But at least: Echo is back home in time for Christmas and can now enjoy the holidays. At least a little, because in the coming weeks and months many millions of gold will have to be earned and distributed again, since such a world-first race devours gigantic sums.
Have you followed the race for World First? Are you partying with Echo or would you have given another guild the kill?
