The Swedish Tax Agency has issued a call to the public. This time it applies to Swedes who have not yet paid money into the authority’s account.
The Swedish Tax Agency regularly shares information with the Swedes. But that’s not the only thing they do. Warnings and direct calls are issued from time to time to minimize the risk of being exposed to, for example, fraud.

The Swedish Tax Agency warned of fraudsters
At a time when the number of frauds is increasing, more people are being exposed and the fraudsters’ criminal profits amount to billions, they came out in October and warned that fraudsters in their attempts to cheat private individuals out of money pretend to represent the authority.
“It happens that fraudsters pretend to be the Swedish Tax Agency and try to access your data through phishing and phishing. Fraudsters use fake emails, text messages, letters and phone calls in various variations. Attempts at online fraud are particularly common when it is time to declare or when the tax refund is paid out,” they wrote on their website at the time.

You will then receive the final tax notice
However, what the authority has now issued to the Swedish people is not a warning to fraudsters, but rather a call regarding the final tax statement and the possible residual tax that must be paid. Soon they will send out mail to all those who have not yet received a tax notice this year.
Those who have made any changes or additions to their return in 2024 will soon have their final tax notice sent to them. It is the last mailing of the tax notice that is made this year.
“The Tax Agency will send a final tax notice between 2 and 6 December to those of you who have a digital mailbox and who have not previously been notified of your final tax or who lack tax registration in Sweden”, they write on the website.

However, if you do not have a digital mailbox, for example Kivra, you will receive the mail in the physical mailbox one to three weeks later.
With the information about your final tax statement, the Swedish Tax Agency is also taking the opportunity to urge you who have back taxes to pay to do so as soon as possible.
“You who receive your final tax statement in December and have tax to pay must have made the payment to your tax account no later than March 12, 2025,” they write.
