The greenest way to take care of your old Christmas tree is to leave it for the municipality’s collection, not burn it at home. This is what the industry organization Avfall Sweden believes.
The rescue service’s tip is further that if you are going to set fire to a Christmas tree, it should be stored until next year. Then it is dry enough to burn well.
