Apple’s services and products are some of the most widely purchased and used around the world – while offering devices, services and apps that are often incompatible with products from other companies.

According to the lawsuit, which was filed by the US Department of Justice last week, Apple has an illegal monopoly on smartphones.

The mood explains for how Apple maintains its iPhone monopoly by preventing third-party apps, which both restricts users from using products outside the company’s ecosystem and also makes it harder for consumers to switch between smartphones.
