Skara summer land is a popular adventure land in Axvall east of Skara. The park was founded and inaugurated by Bert Karlsson on May 7, 1984.
Skara sommarland is one of Sweden’s largest amusement parks, with almost 300,000 visitors each year. Since 2001, Skara sommarland has been owned by Parks & Resorts Scandinavia AB, which also owns Gröna Lund, Furuvik and Kolmården.

Skara sommerland celebrates 40 years
At Skara sommarland there is both Scandinavia’s largest water park with an adventure pool and a funfair with roller coasters and various carousels.
This year, Skara sommerland will offer some guests free entrance to the amusement park. Since it was 40 years since the amusement park was founded this year, they want to celebrate it with a 40th anniversary.

To celebrate this, the park will offer free entry to anyone in the local area who turns 40 this year. You will receive a greeting card in the mail, which also Skaraborg county newspaper reported on.
On June 29 this year, the park will also hold an anniversary party with various activities, to celebrate its 40 years as an amusement park.
– This season I’m really looking forward to celebrating with our guests! We are celebrating our 40th anniversary by, among other things, offering everyone who turns 40 free entry, premiering a brand new adventure show and throwing a big anniversary party on June 29, says Christoffer Östling, acting CEO at Skara sommarland, in a press release.
