Therefore Kristi Noem shot the puppy and the goat dead

Donald Trump’s possible vice president Kristi Noem has been in a storm for the past week.
Now she steps forward and tells about why she shot a dog and a goat to death.
– It was to protect other people, she says in an interview with CBS News.

Kristi Noem, governor of the US state of South Dakota, is a potential vice presidential candidate for Donald Trump.

But she has also shot and killed an “untrainable” puppy named Cricket and a “smelling” goat – something that drew criticism from both Republicans and Democrats.

But now, just over a week later, Kristi Noem steps forward in an interview with CBS and tries to defend herself.

– This was a dangerous animal that killed livestock and attacked people, she says of the 14-month-old puppy.

“A bad day to be a goat”

The information comes from her new memoir. Both there and in the interview, she says she spent months and months training the dog. In the end it didn’t work anymore and she had to shoot it dead – to protect other people.

– It was a choice I made over 20 years ago. And I have not asked anyone else to take on that responsibility, she says in the interview.

And in the chapter “A bad day to be a goat”, Noaem states that on the same day she grabbed the farm’s goat, went to a gravel pit and shot it dead with two shots. The reason? He smelled bad.

“Commander, say hello to Cricket”

In the memoir, Kristi Noem writes that the first thing she would do if she visited the White House is to make sure that President Joe Biden’s dog Commander is not on the premises.

“Commander, say hi to Cricket,” she writes.

– Joe Biden’s dog has attacked 24 Secret Service people. How many people have to be attacked and seriously injured before making such a decision about a dog? she says the interview.

When asked whether Kristi Noem thinks Commander should be shot, she replies:

– That is what the president should be responsible for.
