In Wednesday’s “Farmer seeks a wife”, the time has come for meat and grain farmer Jens Lundin to send home one of the three girls he has on the farm – but the choice does not go as Jens intended. He first invites Sabina Sinclair to stay at the farm. When it is then between Ida Näslund and Alexandra Salonen, the presenter Linda Lindorff asks if both want to stay, to which Ida answers no.
– The more you get to know a person, the more you find differences. We’ve had dates that have been great for me, important to me, where I’ve felt and realized that there are no romantic feelings. It stays at a friend level, explains Ida.
The farmer’s shock that she chooses to leave
Jens was not prepared for her wanting to leave of her own accord.
– When Ida wanted to leave voluntarily today, it came as a shock, says Jens, who believes that Ida gave the impression that she wanted to get to know him more.
Now Ida tells more about what it was that made her leave the farm – and clarifies that it was not because of things between her and Alexandra.
– We are too different. My feeling was that we were in different places in life. I’m mature and confident in myself and Jen’s insecure and insecure, we’ve come a long way in life, says Ida.
And that she wanted to leave there, she realized even before their last date.
– Even before the third date, I had wanted to go on, but I had planned it as a surprise for him and decided to give it a chance, she says.
– But when we later had to take that car journey home alone, without cameras, just the two of us, then something happened. Then I felt that no, this is not what I want and what I’m looking for, she continues.

That Jens is shocked by Ida’s decision to leave the farm was quite unexpected from her side.
– What was also not included in the program was that he then says that it was his feeling, that I should leave. He and I had already had conversations off camera that there were several reasons why we are not compatible, says Ida.
– I am surprised that he is surprised. We don’t have the same views on politics and on how to treat people, and he knew that.
