Farah Abadi is today one of Sweden’s most employed presenters, and she only becomes more and more popular every day. There is no stopping the assignments that Farah takes on – she has been the host of the Melodifestivalen, led På krigt?! and in 2023 she took over SVT’s long-distance runner Sweden!.
Although Farah is often praised by both listeners and viewers around the country, there is one fellow presenter who is not particularly impressed with Farah’s skills – Mark Levengood saw Farah’s contribution as presenter for Mello.
It was also during the Melodifestivalen that Farah made headlines when she pointed out a sour boot Zlatan Ibrahimovic – something that ended with her issuing an apology to the Swedish football icon.

The colorful Skåne Farah Abadi was born in 1988 in a refugee facility in Västervik after her parents, who were Palestinian refugees, came to Sweden. She later grew up in Landskrona, and today she lives in Malmö with her partner Johan and their two children.
When Farah visited Kristoffer Triumfs podcast Värvet, she talked about how today she is satisfied with life and happy in existence.

– It has to do with where you come from. For sixty years my parents and grandparents have been hungry, lived in war, had relatives killed, could not eat enough, did not go to school properly, had nowhere to live. And I’m having a great time. No one will die. No one will be bombed. It’s going really well for me, she told Värvet and later continued on the same track:
– That’s what my parents dreamed of when they had me. That’s why they came to Sweden, for me to live like this and feel like this. That’s great. They have succeeded a lot, she said The recruit.

When Farah Abadi summer 2022 summer spoke in Summer in P1 so she dedicated her entire summer talk to the important women in her life: Grandma, mother and her own daughter. Not much was said about the father. And there is a reason for that.
When Farah Abadi visits Renée Nyberg’s program Renée’s bridge, Farah chooses to open up more about the relationship with her father.
– You have described how your father just disappeared. He left the family. Without saying anything, Renée Nyberg tells Farah in the program.
– He met someone new. And then he just left home one day and didn’t come back. I think it was badly done. That’s not how you do it, says Farah in Renée’s bridge.
Farah says that he called about once a month, and that they then pretended it was nothing. The elephant in the room was never mentioned. The conversations took a toll on Farah.

– I was very sad. I could be sad for a week. Finally I said he should apologize to me, my mother and my sisters. Then he was completely at a loss. He pleaded “I don’t understand what to apologize for”. Then I was pissed off, explains Farah and continues:
– If you don’t know what you should apologize for, I, as your child, cannot tell you what you should apologize for. And then we can’t talk anymore. And then we didn’t talk anymore. And I thought it was great, says Farah Abadi.

In the summer of 2021, Farah received a call from her mother. Farah Abadi’s father was dead.
But long before he actually died, Farah had thought about how that day would feel. In Renée’s bridge, she embroiders the text.
– It is clear that I thought like this: “Will I regret it when he dies”. And then he died. And it was such a very, very strange feeling. Because I thought that when that day came, regret would wash over me, but I felt nothing. He died then. But for us, he died so long ago. That grief was already processed. He was already dead and now he was dead to everyone else too, Farah tells Renée’s bridge.
