It was in 2023 that the first Swedish edition of “The Traitors” saw the light of day on TV4. The entertainment program, which is based on the Dutch format “De Verraders”, is described as a social as well as psychological game.
The participants – a group of well-known Swedes – are designated as either loyal or traitors. The latter will, without being detected, “murder” the faithful at night and try to trick them into voting each other out during the day.
But being a traitor is not without risk. The faithful are on their guard and suspicions can easily be directed at anyone who happens to disown himself or just has, in the eyes of the faithful, deviant behavior.

Precisely a deviant behavior was what caused the Youtube profile Carl Deman was the first to be voted out of this year’s season of “The Traitors”, which premiered on October 25.
– I have known you the longest of all in here and I know very well that you have been very deviant in many aspects, said the comedian and TV profile Philip Dikmen when the 2024 participants gathered in the council chamber for the first time.

Dikmen continued:
– You are a traitor and I have suspected it from the very beginning, I even said so this morning.
And the rest of the participants went along the same lines, which meant that Déman, who was actually faithful, had to leave the program first of all. Remaining in the program is, for example, the forensic technician Kelda Staggthe MMA fighter Liam Pittsthe lawyer Donna Hariri and the eSports profile Emilia Hult.

Dragomir Mrsic: “They shouldn’t be friends with me”
The year season is led, just like before, by the actor Dragomir Mrsicas previously told News24 about both his dream participant in “The Traitors” and why he came to say “arrivederci” in the program.
But shouldering the role of presenter does not mean that he gets close to the participants, who during several days of recordings live at Häringe castle outside Stockholm.

Do you socialize with the participants during the recording?
– No, I don’t want that, says Mrsic to Nyheter24 and continues:
– Because I want to differentiate that. They won’t be friends with me. It’s an isolated game and they hardly get to talk to each other except when it’s breakfast, round the table, a bit during competitions. We have people walking next to them, so they don’t talk to each other. Therefore, it would be foolish for me to go and talk to them.

Are you in contact with any participants today?
– I have had some contact with Katia Mosally. I write a little along Nadeem Ghazale. Janne Josefsson also. So a few, a little here and there.
