There will be one thing in Monster Hunter Wilds on the PC version that players won’t have to worry about

Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to be released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. A technical problem with the PC version should be fixed.

What was the problem? The PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds struggled with some technical issues. Both the textures of the characters and the monsters could not load properly, which is why they ran around as low-polygon creatures.

The players took it with humor and shared the pictures of the crazy monsters on social media. In addition to the broken models, there were also problems with the game’s performance. According to Yuya Tokuda, the director of Monster Hunter Wilds, at least one thing will be fixed in the final release.

The PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds should be like the console in one respect

How will the PC version improve? In a test event, which our editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski was also present, various media were able to test the game on PS5. The performance is said to have been much better than the open beta version.

The question remained as to how the final game would run on the PC. As Tokuda revealed, the PC version will receive the same performance improvement as the PS5 version, especially in frame rate. This means players on PC and PS5 will experience roughly the same frame rate:

To talk about performance in particular, I hope you agree that it now feels significantly better than what we had in the open beta; that was an older version. This has already been improved. But we are still working on it. We are working on both the PC version and the PlayStation 5 version at the same time. And I can promise that the performance improvements on the PC version are just as impressive as those on the PlayStation 5.

The director is aware that both the monsters’ hair and their fur were not that pretty. So PC players can expect the monsters to look even prettier than in the open beta.

PC gamers can breathe a sigh of relief that the performance will improve significantly by the time of release and the monsters will look even more beautiful.
