Ready-made applesauces were parents’ friend when it came to snacks. However, after examining applesauce packages in the USA, 200 times more lead than normal was detected. More than 50 children are known to have been poisoned by applesauce. Additionally, a child died due to this poisoning. For these reasons, the directives of the law covering children’s products began to be prepared. The law, which is expected to come into force in 2025 at the latest, may also include Turkey.
